About Us

A practice home in the Drikung Kagyu lineage.

I·OUR MISSION

We are a Drikung Kagyu Buddhist centre dedicated to preserving and transmitting the authentic teachings of the Drikung Kagyu lineage. Our centre offers a welcoming space for practitioners of all levels — from those just beginning to explore meditation to those engaged in long-term retreat practice.

Through regular teachings, pujas, and community gatherings, we aim to foster genuine spiritual development rooted in compassion, wisdom, and the guidance of qualified teachers.

Our work extends beyond formal practice to embrace acts of service — supporting the sick, the dying, and the bereaved through ceremony, prayer, and pastoral care.

II·OUR HISTORY

Our centre was founded with the blessing of the Drikung Kagyu lineage holders, establishing a sanctuary where the Dharma could be practised and shared in this region. Since its founding, the centre has grown from a small meditation group into a fully functioning temple community.

Over the years, we have hosted numerous visiting teachers, organised retreats, and served thousands of practitioners and their families in times of both celebration and difficulty.
